Terrace construction in Tallinn and Harju County

In summer the terrace is the most-used room of the house. We build stone and wooden terraces that look good, last and suit your house and garden.

A stone terrace is durable and needs little maintenance. Wooden or composite decking is warmer and softer underfoot. For example, we built a new stone terrace for the Tammenurme house along with plinth insulation.

The most important part of a terrace is the base: a proper foundation, drainage and the right fall so water doesn't pool or lift stones and posts in winter.

FAQ

Terrace construction: questions

Didn't find an answer? Email us at info@remondidiil.ee or call +372 5886 6218.

Which is better, stone or wood?

Stone is more durable and needs less maintenance. Wood is warmer and suits a timber house well. We'll help you choose for your house and garden.

When is the best time to build a terrace?

Spring to autumn is best, when the ground isn't frozen. You can ask for a quote in winter so work can start straight away in spring.

Do you maintain old terraces?

Yes. Wooden decking can be sanded and oiled, and damaged boards replaced.
