Sauna building and renovation

A good sauna gives pleasant steam and lasts for years. We build new saunas and renew old ones: from insulation and vapour barrier to benches, lighting and a glass wall.

An old sauna can often be renewed without stripping everything: we sand the wooden parts, apply a new protective finish, and replace the benches and heater. But if there is moisture damage behind the panelling, a full renovation with new insulation and vapour barrier is the right choice.

The sauna and washroom usually go together. Under one contract we also do the washroom waterproofing, tiling and shower. For example, in the Tammenurme house the sauna and washroom got a glass wall and form a single whole.

FAQ

Sauna building and renovation: questions

Didn't find an answer? Email us at info@remondidiil.ee or call +372 5886 6218.

Can an old sauna be renewed without stripping everything?

Often yes. If there's no moisture damage behind the panelling, sanding, a new protective finish and new benches and heater are enough.

Can a sauna be built in an apartment?

Yes, if the apartment's electrics and ventilation allow it. We'll check during the site visit.

Can you help choose a heater?

Yes. The heater's power depends on the size of the steam room and the materials, and we'll help you choose the right one.
