Small apartment renovation

Small apartment renovation

In a small apartment it matters that every square metre is put to use and the home feels spacious. We carried out a full renovation here, and now every room is bright, in one consistent style and ready to use.

Herringbone parquet runs through every room and ties them together. The walls and ceilings were levelled and painted a light colour. Black track lights and recessed spotlights on the ceilings light up every corner.

Kitchen and living room

The kitchen shares a space with the living room, which makes the small apartment feel larger. Dark grey handleless cabinets reach the ceiling and offer plenty of storage. The oven is built in, the worktop and splashback have a concrete look, and the sink and tap are black. Pendant lights above the round dining table set the dining area apart.

Bedroom and second room

The bedroom and second room have light walls, new parquet and new lighting. The track lights can be aimed wherever light is needed, for example at a desk or wardrobe.

Hallway

In the hallway we installed a floor-to-ceiling dark grey wardrobe that matches the kitchen units and holds coats and shoes. Recessed spotlights keep the narrow hallway bright.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a glass wall and a long linear drain, so water does not pool on the floor. The shower wall has long sage-green tiles, the other walls large grey tiles. The vanity has wooden slats, the round mirror is backlit and the taps are black. A heated towel rail is mounted on the wall.
